This will make your DOOM 3 even more amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Custom Flashlights Doom 3 Custom Flashlight Textures
To make a custom texture for your flashlight in Doom 3, create a .pk4 file or copy one from your Doom 3 directory and clear it out. You can use a compression program such as WinZip to open and compile .pk4 files.
Once you have an empty .pk4 file to work with, create a folder named ?,lights?, (without quotes). Grab the image you want to use and convert it to a .tga file (256 X 256 pixels is a good size). When you use the image it will be reversed, so mirror your image before saving it. Name the image flashlight6.tga, place it in the lights folder and make sure that folder goes in your .pk4 file. Then, rename the .pk4 file so it is the highest number in your Doom 3 directory. For example, if you have a pak005.pk4 file already, you will have to name your new flashlight texture file pak006.pk4 for it to take effect.
Once you have renamed the file, place it in your base directory and start the game.
Half-Life 2 is out of this world. That game is insane... it's epic... it's cinematic... it's thrilling... it's... it's unbelieveable.
Valve, as a company, has put out a good product, but they have completely stepped on their customers. Everwhere I am, I curse them for that DoD: S stunt that they pulled, \"If you bought retail, you don't get DoD: S for free. If you bought online, you do.\"
I also agree that Valve did a fantastic job on HL-2. Amazing game play, graphics & story, but one problem. \"STEAM\" WTF is that all about.
The worst thing to invent. DOOM 3 is also amazing, but in a different way. Though I find DOOM 1 & 2 a little better in there story lines. And where is the beast with the Goat Legs LOL, That beast was one tough beast to kill in DOOM 1 & 2

Half-Life 2 with ease, not only does Doom 3 require the very best of best computer parts, it's not even worth spending all that money on computer parts. With only an ATI Radeon 9700 and 1 GB RAM you can run Half-Life 2 as if it was the simpliest game ever, I mean, before I upgraded my computer from 512 MB to 1 GB, Counter-Strike: Source was actually screwing around on my computer, but after the upgrade, wow, I would never have believed something would run that smoothly.
Half life is ten times better than any game out there.
Actually only one thing beats half-life: Halo.
Wheres the love for the classics? Such as Starcraft, Civilization, Pirates!, Doom, Quake, Half-Life 1, X-COM: UFO Defense, Duke Nukem 3D, Fallout, Command & Conquer, Diablo, Tetris, etc. There are tons more older games which are so much better then anything out today. I can appreciate good graphics, but gameplay is what is important.
