Yeah but you'd look a little funny walking around with a desktop strapped to your back.? The whole point is portability.? And in that department, the PSP wins hands down.? It's like having a PS2 in the palm of your hand.
Desktop graphics are stellar, but hey, you've got to leave it at home unless you've got a laptop, and most laptops can't offer the power of a desktop.? Enter the PSP.? A true handheld portable power game system. The graphics are amazing considering it's small size, and to someone who's about to spend over 15 hours on an international flight, that's important.
Oh, and the Nintendo DS looks like some weird hybrid monstrosity.? I played with one in a store not too long ago and I wasn't impressed at all.

then where are the good games? atleast most of the games that have come out for the ds are actually playable, maybe the ds's gfx arent up to the psp standards but at least the ds doesnt bring along long a$$ load screens from the console world.
When you have graphics to the depth of the PSP, loading times are to be expected. It's got to load the platform and initialize everything.
Even if it had long load times, which it really doesn't, I'd still have one. And like Predator said, it's many contraptions all in one for $250.
The only issue that I have with it is the screen. Smudges show up very easily, but that's all fixed by a lint free cloth.
ok my friend baught a psp but he couldnt figure out how to put songs onto it. so he let me barrow it for the night so i could put some songs on it for him. i put the songs on that night and played with it on the bus to school the next day and when i got to school i stuck it in my backpack and put the backpack in my locker(which had a lock, but that doesnt matter cus even if a locker has a lock on it you can still just pull up on the handle and it opens with the lock still on.) so i come back from PE and the front of my backpack is open and the psp is gone. i ended up only paying for half of it cus it wasnt totally my fault that it got stolen. seeing as how i had a lock and everything but it all worked out in the end, he has a new psp but hes down a copey of dynasty warriors.
i hope that made sense im not good at telling stories:P
acctualy the PSP's loading screens are very brief in about 97% of its games and it can have music and dvds and pictures and stuff like that.
Err, where do you get this? \"About\" 97%?

Obviously, you have never played Gran Turismo or GTA: Liberty City on a PSP before.
