Microsoft are on an attack, an attack on Adobe, and Macromedia (even though they are owned by Adobe.....) MS is entering new market segments, but will webdesigners, animators and graphic designers be willing to put down their trusty Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash, well I use all of those products and their is no way I am losing those emmence peices of software. However Adobe and Macromediaare stodging and that just leaves the door right open for MS to make a replacement. So will Microsoft sucseed in taking over yet another area of the market? Will you buy their new products? Discuss.
I don't really care, either way. Adobe is currently in a league of it's own... but both Microsoft and Adobe have good software. Whichever is better bang for the buck -- but currently the Premeire/Photoshop Elements bundle is unbelieveable.
I'm willing to bet that whatever they come out with will be super expensive.
I'm not so sure. Vista is apparently going to be priced differently than previous Windows flavors... which... frankly... aren't too expensive. XP Home costs $89. XP Professional costs $119. All that comes with free updates forever.
That's not too bad at all, and really, XP Home is all you need.
In addition -- Microsoft is not a stupid company. They are not going to venture into alternative venues of software, price their product inaccordingly with competitor prices, and expect it to be successful. That's plain stupid... and that's something that Apple Computer tried their hand at. Now look at Apple's market share... and now look at that of their arch-rival, Microsoft's.
Obviously their plan failed, which is good, because OS X is not all it's hyped up to be.
ya know i think if microsoft is going to compete with adobe photoshop which is wicked good, i think they will have to put there all into it beacuse paint ----ing sucks u guys know what i mean and adobe should definatly step it up to compete with MS cause i like adobe and i think alot of people do but is MS is gonna take adobe down then well...thats it i guess(another part of the market to MS)
