According to the rumors, it will be released at/during/before CeBIT. Specs are speculated to be:
7900GTX-
512MB GDDR-3 Samsung 1.1ns
650+ core, 1.6Ghz memory.

The 7900GT-
Same Memory, more latency: 1.4ns
450+mhz core, 1.32 memory

It's good news all around. For those of you who have the money, you can get the newest and best Nvidia card. For those of you who are too poor to buy it, you can expect the price of the 7800GTs and GTXs to come down.  :D

Well, some people are saying 7900GTX will be available with GDDR-4 Memories, but I am not sure about it yet.  Although, it is quite certain, that 7900GTX will be able to beat X1900XTX.  It looks to me, it would be very fast card, and there will be support for HDR+AA also with all blending formats.

I think X1800XT Architecture is better than X1900XTX, but ATI says you need more Shader Processors than Texture Units, so I think we might see better performance with X1900XTX in future games.  However, drivers for X1900 line-up aren't matured yet.

I am waiting for the price drop before I go for a 7800GT or GTX (haven't decided which one).

Considering the X1800XT performs better then the 7800GTX and it is cheaper I think that is the best choice. If you want to go cheaper the 7800GT is the best at its price point.

I'd say the score is about tied, but the 7800GTX's I'm looking at are cheaper than the X1800XT.

The X1800XT's are sweet, but the 7800GTX's are awesome too.

At this point, I don't see any reason NOT to buy either one other than price.

Also, I am never again buying anything Top-of-the-line.  Too much money for 10% more speed.

I'm wondering if I should get a 7900gt or the gtx. There's just something about having a top of the line card, as you say. You have bragging rights. Isn't that the whole point of oc'ing? I think I'll want a GTX. Do you guys remember if any reviews were posted on the 7800s before they came out? I want to make sure there's a reason to spend 150 bucks more on a GTX, but, I also want to get it the moment it's available.

Well.. I got antsy and skipped the 7900 after all, and picked up an ATI 1900... After all, newegg has a 30 day return policy on OEM items, so I have a chance to return it if the 7900 performs better than I think it will.

Looks pretty good.  I hope that it will beat the X1900 by a fair margin, considering that it is taking more time to come out.
