That MSI motherboard has been known to have a lot of issues. I'd suggest getting the 3000+ Athlon 64 + an EPoX EP-9NPA+ motherboard, along with a PCI-Express 6600.

Agreed. You may also want to have a look at the speaker system, $16.65 for a 2.1 system sets off warning bells.

You forgot EPoX on your list. They make AWESOME motherboards that are EXTREMELY cheap. And Tyan is more for server-side than desktop. Stick with DFI, EPoX, ABIT, MSI, & Gigabyte.

EPoX hands down. Why can't you get EPoX?

Which EPoX motherboard have you chosen? Great processor, and good video card. How well will it play BattleField 2? Take a look for yourself:http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/dis...05-17gpu_8.html It actually depends on the resolution. At 1024x768, you get around 50FPS, which is pretty good IMO. But, you probably won't want to go into any higher resolutions, especially with your 3000+ at stock. And your 6600GT, good deal. MSI makes great video cards. Edit: I just realized that your graphics card is a PCI-Express. So, I assume that you have chosen the EPoX nF4 Ultra motherboard? In that case, may I also suggest some other PCI-Express 6600GT's? XFX 6600GT:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814150098 149$ eVGA 6600GT:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130214 153$ The eVGA would be the best, but I just saw that the MSI comes with an awesome software package, so go with it. MSI 6600GT:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814127147 154$In that case, go with the MSI 6600GT.
