well, i didn't but i know a guy who did. restarted his pc, than found out that windows wouldn't boot. So, he installed windows again and found out that due to the fact that he formatted his hd in windows he lost a : all his files, b : the size of his HD was redused to 4 gig ( instead of 80 )
must be PAINFUL to lost all your files without any single backup.
i got two PCs. one desktop (filled with games and movies mostly) and a laptop. so, i made backups (not using software, just copy & paste to-and-fro my two PCs) of important files on both PCs. for example, i have a file created in the laptop, then i copy it to the desktop. and if i created a file on the desktop, i copy it to the laptop.
so, u guys make backups of important files? yes? no? and why?
well, the most important files i got are mostly on both pac as on the laptop. Really special things are uploaded on my small space i got on the belgacom server.
i would you an external more for sharing files.. you know lan parties, switching with friends... it's easier with movies and anime then all those discs. so i'll opt for dvdrw for back ups and ex hd for sharing. but that's just my opinion...
