Best places to buy cheap components in Hardware, Internet, Networking, Comms and Security
Well as i live in China,... I just have to walk about 20minutes and there is a computer street. They sell anything to everything.
Plus being in China where they make everything its all so cheap, cheaper than any website can ever be, as the Computer is where they also make the components rite in front of your eyes.

The best thing about that, if you want something made for your computer to your specifications, it can be done within about 30minutes depending on what you want done, or made!

So the best option is to come over to China with an empty Suitcase and have a look around!

Which next-gen system? in Gaming
Well Guys in my opinion first I would say you can’t really compare the WII to the PS3 and XBOX-360, and the WII is a different console entirely, being its not deigned to beat up performance, and graphics, its not even there to look good on the floor while playing.
The WII is a family orientated Console, the games are deigned for friends and family to enjoy themselves together while playing on a computer Console, just like the Nitendo GameCube was, for games like Mario Party (which is a good laugh to play with the entire family and for all ages).

As for the competition between PS3 and XBOX I would have to vote for the PS3, being much a more demanding console in performance, and extreme stability the PS3 will win my vote.
But on the other Hand being as its Sony (Copyright Fiends)…..the XBOX will win my vote on Expansion Option and Modding, and the boys at Sony do not like there toys being altered (as am sure most of you know), but am not saying you can’t mod your PS3 just a lot harder to do so!

Computers Vs Games consoles. The BIG debate. in The Great Debates!
I think we should start up a new topic about Windows Vista, a lot needs to be explained about this new operating system.
I say this is for only Crackers (means for people knowing C++ and above), as am sure most of your are aware you can download it from Microsoft’s Website but the main functions of it is for people that know C++.

Let me know if we should start a new debate and topic about Vista!

Computers Vs Games consoles. The BIG debate. in The Great Debates!
Yes (to the above) a PC does run programs in the background while playing games but here is a little secret for all those extreme gamers and coders (C++ Advanced)

If you create and partition a HDD then you are able run background task to an absolute minimum, I think in total is about 4tasks which only need to be ran to keep a computer with Windows XP able to play games and fully function to 100%

Why Partition: This is because after you go over the size of 450GB Hard Drive, then the drive itself in the background is already partitioned whether you do it yourself or not, this is a standard in computing.
If you creat another log you are able to keep systems from uploading onto your current system while playing games for example: Anti Virus, Security Warning, as these are all ready install onto the computer just on the other part of the HDD.
From this you are able to code the two partitions together in the BIOS using Creative-X (C++)

So for those extreme gamers, you are able to trick your computer that it is running all the programs it wants, but really it isn’t so you are able to run games at 100% and knowing that your computer is only concentrating on the game that you are playing. (P.S. it’s a good advantage when playing on a HD-TV).

Computers Vs Games consoles. The BIG debate. in The Great Debates!
Reply to the Above:
This is true my good friend:
Yes it also does depend on your TV Set, i have seen some great HD-TV's with high spec on www.ebuyer.com, and not for outrages prices.

At the moment i am using a Sony Bravia, but installing a Universal HD-Projector which hit the sotres 3weeks ago (which am sure most extrme gamers will have heard of being advertised with DELL, GeForce, and Radeon.

Quick Hint for those who know that Resolution is all down to HD the old Radeon 800 is a cheap, but fast and extremely high putting graphics card, which also supports HD Principles. (Also its a good card for those extreme people who like to Over Clock).

Computers Vs Games consoles. The BIG debate. in The Great Debates!
Quote:
"Next gen console are quickly becoming more powerful than any PC out there.

PS3 is 5 or 6 times better than a top spec PC you can build yourself.
Xbox360 and Wii are both the equivelent to a high end PC. Also consoles games can play so many more games, at better graphics.

From the above which was posted by Lucas McCartney.... i am sorry to say that yes first you are rite consoles are becoming more and more powerful,
but the next thing to say is that NO the PS3 is no where near as powerful than what you can spec a PC at today, here we have done some digging up from ATI, and benched Tested a High End PC, to a PS3, as you know the PS3 is already released in Japan and for those lucky ones who have the time and money to get one you will know that they are some heavy peace of kit!
From this compared to a High end PC they do not compared with Specifications, to performance. The Console does give its money worth, but if you have to cash for a High end PC, then the PC will win.
Now we also compared it on speed, graphics, looks, stability, software engines and performance. Now even though the PS3 was a good subject to test, compared to the PC’s we tested they destroyed the PS3.
As we only test high end PC’s and not TOP End PC’s, (where we found the competition to be to much) for the PS3 to handle.

1)     Yes the PS3 does give some high end PC’s (as we found) a really good run for there money, especially for graphics
2)     The PS3 interface is really quick, quicker than any other version of PlayStation
3)     And last but not least the PS3 (being a gamer myself) is worth ever penny highly recommended!

For more information we have asked permission to host a reveiw on this (with more information and depth at):
http://ati.amd.com/chs/index.html

The information will be posted on the 4th December

Many Thanks

Gaming Revolution 2 in Gaming
From my last Post PC vs Console:

Well from that it is concluded that yes PC will always be better than a console, due to upgradability, conpared to a console (not saying you carnt upgrade a console as any console can be upgraded, knowing that you know how too)

Some Factors:
Processor
Graphics
RAM
HDD
Control

All these will always progress for each PC and Console, but PC being the machine of today, will alwaya be the latest thing. As everyday there is somthing new being thought off, and designed.

So from this you carnt really compare the two, just it depends on which you preffer, and being at ATI, PC's to me will always come first!

Gaming Revolution in Gaming
Well i thought as am on my Dinner break with a few guys from my work at ATI Radeon, we tohught we would have a look at this forum to see whats going down in the world of this generation of gaming.
We thought that we would discuss what is better PC vs THE CONSOLE,

Well as am sure most of you know being at ATI you would think we would all select PC being the best option, as no matter how fast your console is, or how good the graphics are they are still not going to be as a PC.
But here at ATI we have alot of arrguments about this discusion as it is that Consoles today do offer a more high standard of comfort and qualification than any PC will have for the next few years.
This is from nothing but DESIGN.. a console is a device all designed to fit into a small box that goes nicely under your television set, and it sue to this that the design has to be made smaller, more compacted but also look good.

From just this as it smaller that in its self brings up thousands of complication, a few being HEAT, CHIPSET SIZE, PCB BOARDS, WIRES, CONTROL ACTIVITY, all this must be looked at.
But yes as we all know that PC's will always be better due to the amount of revolution this decade has to offer, for example. You can buy a new Graphics Card for about 600pounds and two/ three weeks later there is a newer model, its all down to compition, this is where console also offer the standard,  for example WII, XBOX and PS3, they too offer compition, more so than any PC will ever.
