Blu-ray / HD DVD stalemate boosting interest in combo player in Entertainment, Film and Music, Mobile devices and media
Surely most people would stick to either Blue Ray or HD DVD, so a combi-player would be pretty pointless.

Have videogames become too violent? in The Great Debates!
The trouble with ratings, and this counts for films just as much as games, is that the ratings mean different things, depending on when they were released.  The biggest instance I can rememer of this in a film is American Ninja.  The film is an 18, but why? ther is no strong swearing, no sex, no blood and gore.  But then again, it is from the 80's.  Today, it would get maybe a 12, or even PG.
I bought command and conquer Red Alert for PS1, and that was an 18.  This was basicaly because it was a war game.  Why then, dont you have to be 18 to watch the news? when that is mostly pictures and videos form Iraq and Afghanistan.  Things like British convoys getting blown up by American A-10's.

Confiscating Childerens Computers in The Great Debates!
I got a TV in my bedroom when i was 10, and got a PS1 (ah, the memories) a few months later.  I never watched the TV, just used it for the PS1, and even then not that often.  I can't remember when i got my first PC, but I got the internet a couple of years ago, when I was about 14.  Almost instantly I started playing games online with Star Wars: Gallactic Battlegrounds.  I went form clan to clan there and made alot of friends which I talked to alot.  I then started playing the origional CFS with a online squad called Striker Squad.  three years on, I still play with many of the same people from that squad, but now its Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat.  I know alot of them really well.  However, all this time I have still gone out with mates.
Before all that I would play games like the origional X-Wing and Command and Conquer at my dads house for a few hours every week.
It has never done me any harm having a computer in my room, and It gives me somewere that I can work in piece, as nowadays most, if not all, the work i do at college has to be done on a computer.

X360/or/PC in Gaming
I am undecided here.
not between the X-Box 360 & PC, but between consoles in general and the PC. I would never get a 360 because i dont like the look of it, and it just seems to have a certain 'wtf' factor about it.  Consoles in general are good for the 2-player stuff and the graphics are usualy better, unless you have some kind of super, megatron 100000 delux PCHWIRJR system (which, you may notice, I just made up, celver eh?).
I got SW: Battlefront 2 on PS2 and now do wish I has it on PC so I coud play it online, but then again, If I had it on PC, I wouldn't be able to have the 2-playerness of the console.
And in response to Zippy's PC2 thing, how much does it cost to keep upgrading the video card, sound card and RAM? I bought 512 meg RAM for a computer a couple of months ago and It was in the region of £50.  It is alright saying that now it will have dropped alot in price but the games that are coming out now need at least 1gig.
Cossacks II came out a couple of years ago, and that needed 1gig RAM to play it, and no one had that then, so no one played it, and no one really plays it now.  Pluss it looks a bit rubbish compared to the first one, which is one of the best RTS games OF all time.

Best PC games in Gaming
Rome: Total War is excellent, I have completed it and it took me over a year, and every day is different from the day before depending on what you do.  When you complete it though, you can still keep on playing.

Battlefield 1942 is excellent, purely because of all the mods available for it.  You have to pay to download most of them of FilePlanet, but if you search you can find them all.
I have all the Desert Combat mods which make it a modern-day Iraq/Afghanistan type game (basicaly the same as Battlefield 2).  I have BF2 on the PS2 and thought it was rubbush, but i heard that on the PC the multiplayer is the same as on the first one so that sounds good.
It has infantry, vehicle, flight (both planes and helo's) and ship elements to it, so if you play online as I do you can specialise in whatever you want.

Guild Wars is ok if you are going to put alot of time and effort in.  It is good as there are no fees to pay, as with WoW or SW: Galaxies.

iPods and PDA's to be banned while crossing streets in Entertainment, Film and Music, Mobile devices and media
Quote:
walked into the path of a city bus.

I think if you had half a brain cell you'd notice a city bus even if you were listening to music.
This is load of rubbish.
How are they going to ban people listening to mp3 players while crossing the street? have a policemen stood along both sides of the path at ten metre intervals? or just say "Dont cross the street listening to music or you'll be in alot of trouble" and hope it catches on?
