AMD followed in Intel's footsteps for over a decade because AMD didn't have the resources to do anything spectacular. Now that AMD is on their own feet, Intel follows AMD (e.g. x86-64 implementation) on some things and AMD follows Intel on others (e.g. reducing the process type). They are in competition and whenever one side does something first, the other has to find a way to do it in a competitive way to remain competitive. Just how works and isn't worthy of a news flash every time it happens.
Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea all want a war especially with the United States. Being that all three are from all over the world and something does happen with them all at about the same time, it sure will look like a world war. Even united, however, they aren't even close to the power of Germany, USA, Russia, or the United Kingdom during the first two World Wars so it probably wouldn't last very long.
