Well, some people are saying 7900GTX will be available with GDDR-4 Memories, but I am not sure about it yet. Although, it is quite certain, that 7900GTX will be able to beat X1900XTX. It looks to me, it would be very fast card, and there will be support for HDR+AA also with all blending formats.
I think X1800XT Architecture is better than X1900XTX, but ATI says you need more Shader Processors than Texture Units, so I think we might see better performance with X1900XTX in future games. However, drivers for X1900 line-up aren't matured yet.
Show me a XBIT Article, where it shows ATI 'Superior', or show me a Post where 'Predator' says, Nvidia didn't beat ATIs A$$.
What if I post a Driver Heaven Article?.. retreat from posting any Bulls**t from Xbit. And get it in your D-A-M-N head that X1800XT -Does- beats the 7800GTX A$$!
I am not too sure what name will ATI pick for R580, seems like, it could be X1800XT PE or very well could be X1850XT also. From what I know about R580 (Reply to 7800GTX 512MB) that, .. its a very very Powerful chip.
And No, R580 won't have 24 Pixel Pipelines.....errrrrr ....later ;)
G80 has Unified Architecture if I am right,... and R580 does not have Unified Architecture, which probably means G80 will be quite Powerfull than R580. R600 which has Unified Architecture also, would be out to compete G80.
Actually, R580 was supposed to compete with G80. Don't know why ATI lowered their standards for the R580 to compete with the G70 (780GTX 512MB).
No, because R580 doesn't have Unified Architecture, but R600 & G80 both has Unified Architecture.
