Because that's a wacko, extreme leftist movement. Most people are content with adhering to our stable government system, rather than taking after the ways of countries like Venezuela or Guatemala, who can't have a stable government for any length of time. So most of us will just wait out the next year, when Bush and Cheney will be removed as per every other American presidency.

Stable? Under corporatists ways sure.

Quote:
When you can prove that Bush and/or Cheney conspired to do anything outside of the law -- you have a case for impeachment. As far as I know, though, "I'm an angry liberal and I hate Bush and his cronies" doesn't count as a legitimate argument.

Because that would be quite subjective. If they were balanced, they'd provide people with even information about all candidates -- not just promotional to Ron Paul. What the hell is your definition of the word "balanced," anyways?

I don't know what yours are I was just making an example of a candidate who is not publicized. Mit Romney is another one along with Dennis Gavel?

We already knocked that out the window, because as I recall, you were downright wrong about all the media sources being under one roof. "Corporatism" my foot. America isn't fascist -- you have yet to provide any facts supporting your outright ludicrous claim. Maybe you think it's popular to bash conservatives and the current government as do a lot of people, but none of you extreme leftist nutjobs seem to recall that in "Fascist" countries, media was under the government's control. Dissident reporters were SHOT, if you recall.

Reporters for the truth can't even get through. Why has the media not made a big story about the North American Union? The only one media outlet was CNN that did that one. Why does the media not report more on poltiics than for say celebrities? Maybe to hide dirt? Why has there been alot more classification of documents? http://www.fas.org/sgp/news/2004/09/wt091804.html

Last time I knew, we have 100,000 private contractors in Iraq which is completely ludicrous.

I'd rather have a link to the incident that you refer to, rather than take your word for it. See, I do this thing called "research" before I form my opinion, and it's amazing what you can find out.

Really, I am surprised you haven't shown me your research and then making a claim. Calling pot the kettle black eh?

We never had a democracy, especially in the beginning. This country has ALWAYS been a Republic, and the early days of this country were much, MUCH less for people-power. Most people weren't even allowed to vote -- that was the duty of the Electoral College, who were basically there to vote for the people -- not necessarily with them.

So then how did we get freed from England's control?

...that was sarcasm, I hope you realized. Honestly, it's rather amazing what people immediately think when an ex-CIA member in business invests in something. If they invest in Facebook, so what? Does that automatically make Facebook a CIA operation? It might come as a cold surprise to anyone that Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of mac_pro's favorite company, News Corporation, owns MySpace.

Murdoch turned the Sun around completely around from politics to a moden day sensationalistic newpaper.

The iPhone is a piece of shit, and so is your face. in Apple
iPhone beats the crap out of any phone. The safari browser is awesome. Sure it is a bit sluggish over EDGE. Instant message you can get third party still have yet to test. Keyboard, takes a bit getting used to but works better in horizontal than vertical. The graphics are great on it. I have heard that calls cannot be heard very well by the friend that owns it. Yet it is very simple to use and it is great.

I think we can blame both cause the democracy our forefathers had was based off people power. Instead, we look up to elected officials as the ones to change things, instead, we need to take care of business, until that happens, we're screwed.

Reuters balanced? LOL try that at me again. I think this is turning into rightists versus leftists which gets us nowhere. If they are balanced, why have they not highlighted on the impeach cheney movement? Why are they not promoting Ron Paul? Go beyond the front page headline and check the content. BBC is probably the most even of everyone but they do have biasism too. Just cause Bush aint popular does not mean America is not fascist. I am making that comment regarding musolini's definition of it being "corporatism". We have corrupt politicians and I find anarchy a better solution than bueracracy. The media CAN LIE ON TELEVISION AND THEY HAVE NUMEROUS TIMES TO COUNT! There were two FOX News employees fired just for trying to tell the truth about a product, and they lost in their court case to fight for their jobs.

If you cannot account for trillions then you cannot trust your Supreme Court whom favours Bush policy to simply not allow passage of an act. The act allows surveillance of americans without warrants and without judicial oversight which is what is unconstitutional under the 4th ammendment of the constitution. This reads "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

It also violates the sixth ammendment of the constitution allowing "all criminal prosecutions" to a fair and speedy trial. Some people have been jailed without reason or without trial. It is illegal under the constitution. I suggest you ask your congressmen where has the money gone and ask him if 9/11 was caused by terrorists. As far as I know IT WAS NOT! IT WAS PURELY FOR PROVOKING FEAR OF THE PUBLIC TO SACRIFICE FREEDOM FOR POWER AND FOR THE OIL HUNGRY TO LET THEM GO ON THERE SPREE! JUST LIKE A CHILD! IF WE SAID IT WAS WRONG WE WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM TO STOP, INSTEAD WE ARE NOT DOING THE DISCIPLINE!

Then what do you call it? Cause it sure aint democracy thats for  sure. Also, why are we not accounting FOR TRILLIONS MISSING? In a democracy, there is supposed to be accountability, the Patriot Act was unconstitutional, instead, we are under a vail of nothing is going on when things are. Do you ever read alternative media? If you think it is BS, then stop watching Fox News! http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/index.html Here is something to get you off your knocker.

If you're paranoid, yes you can put it that way. But, as I can see it... there are several large media corporations , none of which are particularly good and most of which put a liberal spin on things. Most every fascist government had control of the single media outlet, so if our government did, you can bet it'd be pretty conservatively biased. Of course, we have Viacom, CBS, News Corporation and AOL-Time Warner -- which would indicate... competition. Which didn't exist in real fascist states.

As for military contracting... I fail to see how that's indicative of a fascism. Again, the military/government doesn't control the corporations it contracts for military technology, these companies have to compete with one another to get the contract -- and the military's business. Even if Fascist countries did this -- there's no question as to why, it makes a ton of sense. Companies profit, and the military gets some incredibly cool and more importantly, combat-effective technology.
News corporation controles ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox News, it is all a complete lie and if you would like to call me paranoid, you can look no further that the Congressmen that represent the almighty dollar! Working for private corporations wants on the people for more control and money. You should see Iraq for Sale, a documentary from Robert Greenwald. It is fascist because IT IS CORPORATISM!

I hope you are being sarcastic, last I heard, Iraq was for sale and Mr. Bush can declare marshal law at anytime, he could perhaps resign and give the presidency to Dick Cheney. Oh god I do not want to know what hell he would cook up.

Cable, Phone, and Fiber in The Great Debates!
Here in the United States, you have to go with Cable or Phone, the provider where you live at is the provider you stick with. However, in the UK, you can choose whichever provider you want at anytime. Please tell me this is not so? Why should we have to have our provider chosen for us and not have competition?

Fascism as musolini put it as corportism, most big corporations have contracts with the military for profit, one big corporation controls all major news media outlets. In esence, if you do not see through it, you are just playing there game of monopoly.

I like the United States of America with the ideas of freedom and union of the perfect democracy, but this is currently just the Fascist State of America, that is what I hate. AKA, the current US I hate since the government is being dumb and people are not rising up against it.
