There are video game enemies out there that make your blood boil. The ones that you will go out of your way to kill, just so you know they're dead. When you hear the music meaning that an enemy is near by, you know, it's them. They attack you, they kill you and you cuss at them violently. No? This isn't you? Just me? Wow, okay, thanks for making me look insane. Anyway, here are the MOST annoying video game enemies.

7.Lakitu.
Lakitu is that annoying little koopa who flies around and throws spiky shells at you. He is in plenty of the Mario games, too many if you ask me. How many times have you tried jumping and jump too high and hit him? Once you hit him you loose your fire flower power then he continues to throw spiky shells at you. Then you die. You die a slow and miserable death. Because of the shells he's essentially multiple enemies in one. Even if you get lucky and kill him, another appears in a matter of seconds! Sure Lakitu eventually turns out to be nice and even does camera work for you in later games like Mario 64. But this 'help' doesn't excuse all the millions of lives I've lost because of this guy. Side Note: He's sooo cute in Super Paper Mario. Cute, but deadly.

6.Shadow Heartless.
The most common of all the Heartless in the Kingdom Hearts series. They appear in almost all levels and by the dozens, bakers dozens! What separates these Heartless from the others is how they are able to become shadows. This makes fighting them a real pain in the ass because no matter how fast your are swinging the key blade they can just fall flat and dodge all your moves. Once they are shadows on the floor they can resurface on any side of you.

5.Security Bot.
Where as the other enemies have appeared in multiple titles this enemy only has appeared in one, so far. The Security Bots in Bioshock drove me crazy! First off, I would always miss the camera and as soon as the alarm would go off you immediately get three or four bots on your ass. They are loud, fast, they fly, and oh ya they shoot the shit out of you. Sure you can just hack them or just shoot electricity at them, but that's not the point. They are in like every other room! Did I mention they have unlimited ammo? Then there's that awful sound they make. It's like a whistling, but a whistling from hell.

4.Zubat.
There are only a handful of Pokemon that get the honor of being in all the Pokemon games. Obviously the most popular make the cut, Pokemon such as Pikachu and Jigglypuff. But there is one Pokemon that is in them all but no one seems to like. Zubat is by far the most annoying Pokemon of the series. He is in every single cave. Caves aren't like patches of grass, there is no walking around them. You go into a cave and every single step is a chance to be attacked by these annoying little suckers. Not only do they appear non-stop, but they have crappy moves. If you play Pokemon you know how annoying the moves supersonic and leech life are. Not only are they everywhere, but almost all the members of Team Rocket or whatever counter part is in the game, have one.

3.Fire Keese.
Keese, another bat like enemy, have been in almost all, if not all Zelda games since the eighties. Keese are by far the most commonly seen enemy, inhabiting almost all dungeons. And no, they aren't hard to kill, not hard to Z target, none of that, they only take one hit. There are three types of keese, regular, fire and ice. And while ice is probably the most disabling, it's the fire keese that take the cake. First off, they fly fast. Second, the are on fire. Third, they light you on fire. Fourth, they do that thing where they fly around and around out of target range and then out of nowhere nose dive and attack you. Don't bother using the hookshot or sword on them, they'll just light you on fire again. The worst is when you are a kid in OoT and still have the Deku Shield. One hit by a fire keese and your shield gets burned into nothing. Not to mention the fire keese aren't a special species or anything, all they need is a nearby torch to make simple regular keese turn into fire keese.

2.The Flood.
Allow me to try and describe the feeling I get when I simply hear the Flood. Imagine there being a cockroach under your scalp. It's scratching at your skull, making a horrible cracking sound. The feeling of it is so insanely itchy you begin to claw off your skin to get it out. Go ahead, take a second to fully imagine that. Well that's the sound of the Flood. The Flood can be described as a "fungal zombie", could there be a worse combination of words, evar?!?!?!? The walls where they live are covered in what can only be described as fungal, putrid, biomass that when hit vomits more flood parasites into this god-forsaken world. Scalp itching yet? Let us not fail to mention that there is a hierarchy of Flood, including elite fighters. So there are Flood that are simply going to crawl all over you, slowing you down, trying take over your body. But of course, there will be plenty of Flood attempting to shoot your brains out as well. Then there is the "pure form", these can mutate depending on the situation. Yay!

1.Lambent Wretches.
In Gears of War there is a little member of the Locust Horde called Wretches. These aliens are in all five acts of the game and are thoroughly annoying in all of them. They are small enough where if you aren't careful they can attack you without you seeing. Plus they are a total waste of bullets so hitting them with the magnum is the best way to go. But there is a special kind of Wrecth that has become lambent due to the exposure to Ilmusion. This causes them to glow, and oh ya, blow up. If you are playing the game on insane then you can't hit them with your gun or chainsaw them because when they explode, they kill you. Did I mention they flock in swarms? Not to mention they like to call one another with a high pitched scream, I like to look at these Wretches as little suicide bombers. I can't tell you how many times I died while playing the Pale Horse chapter on insane. I eventually just had to remember where each one appeared or I would never have beaten it.
