I've got 5342 installed right now, it's good, but slightly slow. The new start button is interesting. I'm not decided on whether I like it or not. I was going to install 5308 64bit, but it won't let me do it with an emulator, probably because it's 64bit. And I don't have a DVD-RW drive to burn it to :(
Hey Pikl... what build are you running? 5342 is not letting me run my video card
I'm running 5342 as well... what video card are you running?

I see a good theme, but its no Aero.
...and you've already tried right-clicking on your desktop, hitting personalize and checking the \"Enable Transparency\" box?

It upsets me, because if the video card worked, I just may have fun using Visa.
That's odd, it should work. I didn't even need to install the drivers for my Radeon 9600, I was able to boot right into Windows and it picked up Radeon 9600 series. I was even able to play Grand Theft Auto III for a good while (that game runs just peachy on Vista w/ 512 MB RAM :)) and the Aero Glass was enabled and all.
Did you try clicking the \"Set Up Devices\" option on the Windows Vista Welcome Center? If you disabled Welcome Center, then you already know it's in Control Panel.

Eh? On your Athlon 64 system?!?

The start button? I don't mind that. It glows blue when you mouse over it. :)
What I'm not so sure about is Vista's uptight security. I can't edit my \"Send To\" menu, my Start menu, or like... anything. And I can't put the Vista equivalent of \"My Network Places\" on my desktop, nor can I put \"Documents\" on my desktop. Oh noes. I'm rather nitpicky about my organization.
It installed my 9500, but it says \"There is a problem\" and then procedes to not tell me anything more. It will not use it. Tried ATI drivers and default windows ones. Tried un-intalling and installing multiple times. Nothing seems to work. Tried disabling some of the security of Vista... still no go.

How'd you do 5342?
Yeah, it just isn't as quick as with XP. But, it could be because of my graphics problem right now. This mobo's AGP express slot is really just a PCI slot modded to fit an AGP card. So, the video isn't running that well.
I used an emulator. I've found that the only one that works with installing Vista is VirtualCDROM control panel. Daemon won't work with it for some reason.
