I added it for you. WD is what I prefer. Seagate are the quietest, but are very slow in benchmarks and in terms of speed, seek times, etc.

I voted MAXTOR. Western Digital used to be high quality, but not anymore right now. Maxtor already won an award for having the best price/performance HD's. :)

Probably not. The Raptors are the Best so far, but I had bad experiences with WD. I sent back problematic HD to them, so they sent me a brand new one. Yaa Right, it was used, & they denied it.

So, for now, No More WD. I?m looking @ the 2 x Maxtor 200GB 16MB cache @ 7200RPM SATA300 running in Raid 0.

I wouldn't be so sure.
Statistics actually show that WD has the lowest percentage of defective hard drives when compared with any other HDD-manufacturing company.  ;) But Maxtor is a good choice as well.

I would still go for 2 Raptors in RAID0; however, I agree with SuperXP that Western Digital should increase the cache and perhaps the size and still keep the 10,000RPM.

Western Digital, IBM, & Hitachi.

I am thinking about placing my 2 x 320GB WD Caviar SATA's into RAID1. After all, I really do not need all this extra space. :)

Hitachi makes good hard drives as well. Fujitsu, I am not too sure about. Before I had my 80GB Western Digital Caviar, I had a 180GB Hitachi IDE drive 7200RPM, which I got for 70$. But, then one of my friends found an 80GB Western Digital 7200RPM for 20$ (with rebate of course) and so, my parents made me return the 180GB & buy the 80GB one.
