I'm getting the 24" imac soon with 500GB hard drive space, 2 GB of RAM and the higher end gaming card whata call it graphics card. I can't wait - I guarantee I will virtually LIVE on that machine and never ever be removed from it. I'll probably die sitting in fromt of it Have to wait til November though
Well, I occasionally fire up my Quadra 605, running system 7.5.3 to play Bolo.
When not playing Bolo, I use TeachText to work on the code for Mac GUI. Unfortunately, TeachText can only handle files of up to 32k, so a lot of files are fragmented into two seperate parts.
When done, I use a few MS-DOS formatted floppy disks to copy the files to a PC, where I then upload them to Mac GUI server.
If you ever needed something cheap to run OSX 4 or 5, just grab a G4, they are pretty cheap. I got rid of my G3, as it was just too outdated, but I think you can get OSX 4 to run on a G3.
Well hey, at least it does a good job, but, why dont you just use some open cource app for your PC to do your programming; or do you just use the mac to say you program it all on a mac lol
It is however pretty nice to see one being used in a working and "mission critical" ( in Microsoft's terms) environment! haha!
