F-22 Raptor Scores Direct Hit in Testing of Supersonic, High-Altitude JDAM Drop
Monday June 12, 3:11 pm ET
EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor air dominance fighter, flying at a speed of Mach 1.5 and an altitude of 50,000 feet, released a GPS-aided Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) from a range of 24 nautical miles, destroying a small ground target in the F-22's fastest and highest JDAM delivery yet. .....using a 1,000-pound Mk-83 JDAM with live warhead supplied by Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The ability to release a munition at supersonic speeds and standoff ranges greatly enhances the aircrew's survivability against heavily defended targets.
Yes I have heard of it but the people I know that fly it they say it is only good for formation flying sooo... Yes only the F-16. The US is flying the F-22 now though the greatest fighter ever built ;D
Yes 88% of the switches in the cokpit are working. And yes I might after I go to colege and once I am in colege I might take ROTC and then join the USAF. Not really sure yet though...
Yeah lol. AF was released in 2005. It is a newer version of Falcon 4.0 It takes alot of dedication to play and learn how to play it though. I have been flying it for 11 months and I am still learning
Well this is my favorite thing to play on the PC It is the most realstic combat flight sim avalible the public. Anyone ever play it? You can read about it at http://www.lead-pursuit.com/
Cant afford Lockdown... I do Chido Himm. Japanese Jujitsu, Boxing, and Kick Boxing but my school closed a while back but I still practice whenever I can.
Hello all I am 14 years old. My hobbies are Martial Arts, Airsoft, Flying Falcon 4.0 Allied Forces with the FreeBirds Virtual Fighter Wing, and fooling around with Computers lol. My favorite PC game or shall we say flight sim is Falcon 4.0 Allied Forces, I also love to play Half Life 2, Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield, KOTOR1 and KOTOR2.
SLi mode is not a waste of money, at this point in time it wont offer a significant increase for the money you pay. But that is because it is not mainstream YET! However the same can be said for the dual core CPUs for that matter. They do not offer any benefit in games at the minute either. But when developers use the potential it will be a huge boost to games.
It is like this in my eye, Gamerz will always try to buy the best. As they want cutting edge performance in FPS games etc. I hate the taughts of my rig lagging. IMHO if you buy RAM from the big guys you are guarenteed to get Performance as all UBER RAM is tested to the limit with the best possible latencies (THis is very important to the performance of a system). And warrenty is far better then the value RAM. You are also getting better onboard memory chips.
And to be honest the price difference is not that great. I am not a serious overclocker but I give my chips a little boost. But I never would use the Valueram. But thats just me.
Same as I would never buy OEM products especially mobo's and CPU's, but thats another post!
Dust is a hugh killer of components in PCs. BTW the fan idea I suggested was for the short term to see if indeed you had a problem with Temps. I did not mean leave it ther e all year round. If you get longer playing then before you know you have a problem, re-adjust you case for airflow and buy a NV5 or the like for the GPU.
Also try to keep the Case of the ground if you can it helps with the dust etc big time.
Its still too little to late in my opinion. ATI have come to the party too far behind. They should have released a undoubted king of the hill and let nvidia play catch up. So after the 6/8 mnth delay they release an equal card.
