Has anybody heard of a Bandwidth Cap High Speed Internet providers are implementing ASAP?

Basically you will only have access to 60GB of download & upload bandwidth, anything more, and you will receive a letter in the mail with a warning, second time over & you will lose your high speed for a month & get charged for the high speed, third time over & you will lose your high speed connection for a year & possibly have the authorities investigate your PC due to possible illegal massive downloading & you have to still pay for your year even though you will only have access to dial up.

This goes for High Speed Cable for now, & DSL is not far behind.

So, my point in all of this is that now we cannot play ON-LINE games for a long time anymore due to the risk of going over the 60GB bandwidth.

If you would like to purchase bandwidth, then you can for something like $25 to $50 per every 10GB to 20GB more.

RIP OFF?s.
This is starting in Canada with a massive large company named Rogers.

blizzards commercial licence fees and regs are in a very grey spot in canadian law.. i do not want to be a part of that.. plus they're charging an arma nd a leg in royalties...

read it and check.. but i dont have any space in my floor plan for consoles...  any suggestions on squeezing them in there??   .. sorry no i cant afford to take over the subway next door... it involves buying out the remaining 600 000 on there million dollar franchise fee.

if you can figure it out or make a good suggestion, i'll stick in xbox's... and xbox 2's later

Rogers & Bell high speed are now starting to CAP Internet bandwidth. What is the use of playing games on line?

Meeting scheduled with microsoft reps, in 2 weeks (april 17, 2005)... about liceencing fees, and royalties.. along with tech support and distribution..

looking at Windows xp pro, windows xp 64 upgrades, and windows longhorn options, with further considerations for contract through to june 2007

also yearly contractual game leasing from microsoft : looking at all titles in a flat rate system... this is crunch time!!  forget every other game out there.. i'd just like some feed back on MICROSOFT only titles..

also have decided to run XBOX's after seeing the release of doom3 for the console :)

i have a fluid agreement with EA on any of their games (in concept) purely for the bank proposal... i pay one big fat fee for a licence that includes the whole store.. then i can interchange any of there games as i see fit, whenever i want.

.. it a big NO, to WoW and half-life 2.. WoW is just way to expensive, and i was shut out when i proposed a private server... (which sucks because i would have had the means to keep it maintaned).. HL@.. is out because they want to check up on it.. some privacy issue Valve has :( , and they're not co-operating.

I have an updated agreement to manufacture 40 surround screens, in either flat CRT or LCD triple displays.. with a penalty of $2500 but the cost was cut to $180 a piece

and i've out bid the LCBO for the buiding.. (liqure store)
plus budgeted in all my operating expenses and pretty much have a staff worked out

so it pretty much software licencing that is holding me back.. plus electronic copywrite laws are very grey in canada at the moment.. so my lawyer fees are growing upwards of $30 000 already
