98 se was not stable in an ways shape or form. Personaly Xp was the best thing to happen to computers.
I don't know, I found Win 98 to be a little unstable at times, but when I purchased the Win 98 Second Edition, well worth the money & stability over the regular 98.
Biggest thing I remember about 98 was it NEVER SHUT DOWN CORRECTLY.
When I was in the USMC--mostly all of the machines were 98 and everyone would power down at night--the next morning you'd have that screen still on the monitor
Yes, I really enjoy my Windows XP Pro 64-Bit Edition. I am going to format that drive & re-install a newer version of the Windows XP 64-Bit. I hear that it's the closest to the original one.
I have a fealing the 64 bit long horn is going to rock. they took 4 years in makeing it so i under stand.
Well the one thing about the Long Horn I heard is that it will not look & feel like the Windows XP Pro at all. :)
The Long Horn will be based on pure 3D Graphic's, so anybody which wants to use the Long Horn will have to have an above Mainstream Graphic's Card for it to run on it. The Long Horn is completely Graphic Card dependent. :)
