yea i guess but also wouldnt a browser and keyboard set up be expencive and confusing?
Not really... It wouldn't be confusing if you only used the keyboard for typing instead of as a controller. And it wouldn't be that expensive. All Microsoft would have to do is take a wireless keyboard that works on the same frequency as the controllers.
i mean the browser setup or would they put it in with LIVE and would that make yearly prices go up you think.
Good point. I would hope they would just give you the browser and let you use it via your internet connection. But if it was through LIVE, and the prices were to go up, I would think Microsoft would give you an option to whether you want it or not.
If there is one thing that annoys me, it is people who hate Microsoft just because they are Microsoft. (No offence to you SWE...). So many people do this either because they think its cool or because they don't know any better. Microsoft is not bad. They have made some mistakes, yes, but that shouldn't make them everyone's enemy. Microsoft has done a lot to get the technology world moving. If it wasn't for them, we probably wouldn't be much farther than we were 10 years ago.

Exactly. The same goes for people that are currently complaining about Vista. The majority of people that complain about something have no idea about what they are complaining about.

some people just dont like monster corperations like micro$oft...
I like AMD in lieu of Intel. For obvious reasons though. The price to performance ratio is too great to just pass up. I've been using AMD procs for upwards of almost 8 years now and I like them, even though the K6-2 used to get very hot. AMD seems to have solved that problem and I believe they've got a very strong foothold on the CPU market as Intel's only real competitor in terms of PCs.
I think some of the original reasons people began to dislike Microsoft was because of it's dubious business practices and outrageous prices. People tend to abhor power when it's not in their hands. I've been using Microsoft products since DOS, but I've always been using Linux for almost just as long. It really depends on what I want to do. With that said, Microsoft has cornered the Operating System market globally, so they must be doing something right, even if they try as hard as they can to kill off the \"little guy\", which is on par with most business practices.
The only real problem I see with Microsoft is their inherent ability to have security holes in almost every piece of software. I know it's virtually impossible to plug security holes when you have an underground world just waiting to exploit anything you release. I think they've done a decent job of releasing patches though, albeit a bit many of them. But I'd rather download 2,000 patches than have my security compromised. On the flipside, I believe that they could lower prices a bit, even make more money by doing so. With the world market on OSs, they could make their distros cheaper, sell many more units and still end up well in the black in terms of revenue.
yeah i think that M$ actually loses money on OEM's like dell because they order in huge quantities and get HUGE discounts go onto dell website lots of the compy's there have windows media center edition choose Windows XP Pro and it jacks the price $150 but i think there are trying to solve the price problems in the new windows vista, because there is like 12 different versions coming out.
I dislike MS. Why? Because they are so danged good at what they do. Ruling the market. However, it is nice that almost all programs are written for windows, making my software choices broad. I just don't like that they are so forceful, yet lack security. ^I think I confused myself^
However, I am liking the way Vista is coming about. It seems like microsoft is trying to change their ways of stitching together 40 different programs and slapping it on a mildly secure kernel to make an OS. Sounds like they are making it from the inside out this time. Make a good, solid, secure, fast kernel, then add the features later.
I think that Vista will be very good from all ive heard MS is going to make it safe secure and solid. And i dont think they will screw it up and if they do lets hope its nothing major.
