After a long while of thinking it over. I've decided to save every penny I make from here on in, to go towards my new personal computer. I have a couple hundred dollars to help me get started. I just need to work whenever the opportunity comes, which fortunately is quite often. I should have raised enough money by I'd say... 3 months at the most. That should be well over $2,000.00 CDN.

So, what it all comes down to -- what I want this computer to do. I want this computer to do basically everything. I am a huge gamer, but cannot play anything remotely fun on this pc right now. I play Battlefield 2, but I have to use the lowest settings. So, I want to have a killer graphics card that will not be outdated any time soon. I also want 2GB of RAM and a CPU that won't be outdated any time soon, as well. I want a HDD that has at least 500GB of space on it. I recently upgraded to 160GB of space and I used that up in like 2 weeks. A few case suggestions would be appreciated too. :) Nothing too pretty, or too simple. B) Let me know what I forgot to include as well and please suggest which I should consider getting. :)

I am from Canada, so please, no newegg links! :P Unless they changed their policy.

I have my mind made up for a monitor, keyboard and mouse. So that isn't really needed. :)

Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it!

It would be better to ask us this question in 3 months, when you have the cash needed to build the PC.

Yes, I suppose you are right. I just don't have the patience and I like thoroughly thinking things through before I get what I need in order to get something. (If that made any sense )

Total comes to $2,017.15 which in cannadian dolliars is probably 1800.  But with that extra $$$ you could afford to buy liquid cooling or some more games :)

Considering that he can't order from Newegg from Canada, I'd say its a moot point.

\"You know, a moo point. Like a cow's opinion, it doesn't mean anything\" :P
Plus, $2000 USD would be like.. $2300 or something CDN.
EDIT: Yeah, it's $2250

So Strain, do you have any American friends or family that you could tell to buy it for you? lol
