Ugh...just like the iPod, the iPhone will not have a user replaceable battery. Instead it will cost a minimum of $87 just to replace the iPhone's battery! Plus it will cost "just" $29 to rent an iPhone while yours is being serviced. So $116 to replace the iPhone's battery if you are a frequent user? No thanks!
I really wish Apple would offer a user replaceable battery kit for a reasonable price like just $20 like SanDisk (my favorite MP3 player company) does. I like Apple but this is one thing about them I really dislike. They already charge a premium for hardware then they rip off IMHO consumers with ultra expensive battery replacements.
I guess you will not have a perfect product. You always find something that is not right with it. I think it has something to do with the manufacturers' marketing strategy - less perfect but cheaper product is better marketed than a perfect (or near perfect) but expensive one.
