hahahaa this is funny.  The powermac G3 beige is the best for overclocking, or the Blue and White G3.  The Blue and White can go from 300 to 450 with no problems, thats like 1.5 times the original speed, nearly double.  The beige could do from 233 to 400.  beat that.  just about double.

im posting the truth.  I dont see a 1.8ghz going to 3.6ghz here.  Or a 400mhz going to 800 ( i did get it to 600)

No but you see a 3.6 going to 6.3!

Besides, no one cares for core frequency anymore.

We all know an FX55 @ 2.6Ghz can beat a 3.8GHz Prescott any day.

and keeping it running 24/7 and no crash, running everything perfectly?  I dont think so.

Right now a processor will double performance at doubel the cycles (just about) and im not talking about comparisons, im talking no single chip can do that.

The 6.2GHz overclock was done using Triple Phase Change cooling and an extreme version of it too. It was perfectly stable. But I still bet an Athlon 64 FX55 could beat it.

As I said earlier, people do not really care for core frequency anymore.

Yep. I am thinking about getting an even better WC system. Anyone have any good ideas? I am trying to push this FX55 to perhaps 3.5 or 3.6GHz.

just mode the water cooling system and your case cooling. Lots of options if you dont mind a little noise.

Water Cooling seems to be the way to go. But it shouldn't be louder than Air Cooling. B)

I noticed super xp's water cooling review, not bad. I like it. :)

i like the cooling in the G5 powermacs.  Its silent.  Even when rendering video or playing Halo or battlefield or something.  The new ones even have water cooling, and 9 fans.  The os controls all the cooling, and everything is silent.  Its awesome.
