here are a few suggestions to try to add more users:

1. Customisable calendar (so users can add events/schedule stuff on the calendar
2. Online dating - might attract a few desperate people
3. Monthly newsletter - if you can find ppl to do the game/product reviews for future versions, you might be able to release a monthly newsletter with links to reviews, development news, hot topics etc...
4. Sweet-ass music player thing - this might be pretty complex, but you could get a sorta "iVirtua Station" or "iVirtua Radio" on the site
5. Some kind of token reward system for members e.g. members could get a token/point every 5, 10, 20 posts or whatever and be able to redeem certain rewards (which cost a certain number of tokens each) - nothing big, mind.

Most of these are probably more long-term ideas, but i reckon they could help to differentiate iVirtua from its competitors - we'd be able to boast more features and sell ourselves better.

wow man these are really cool ideas, we will definatly will use these ideas.

The calander idea is great we already have a system in place so this will be easy to do.
Not to keen on the online dating we dont really want to go into this however we already have somthing like online dating which we will provide to members (more information soon).
The monthly newsletter is a good idea and we will do this for sure. I will talk to Sam (admin) and SaaM as to what we can do with the radio player however remember that we cant infringe copyright. We do have some sort of token reward system however this is the Member of the Moment and ever month the best member voted by others you recieve a voucher for your favourite online store.

Thank you for your suggestions we will certainly look into these ideas, once again thanks for these ideas they are really good.

Some great ideas as apposed to the usual complaints buy people who dont appreciate the amount of work we put in to creating this site. We will shortly be announcing iVirtua 3.1 with new features, which we are keeping closely under wraps.

i know how much work/dedication/time goes into making these forums!! yeh i wasnt too sure about the online dating thing hahahaha, but i thought id better put it in anyway. i know that the monthly newsletter is kinda similar to the podcast, except we can use a 'push' method i.e. send it to members, as opposed to letting them download it. Anyways i reckon a newsletter is easier to make than a podcast and will be easier to circulate.

errr yeh    .....ok

Well i have some more suggestions:

1. Affiliate more with other big-name sites: e.g. file planet, gamespot etc..
2. Include a blogging feature - im not a blogger myself, but i know that lots of people are
3. iVirtua desktop feature - providing instant access to the site using perhaps RSS, and access to the upcoming webmail feature, as well as personal messages

We do indeed have an RSS feed for the forum, and were considering an iVirtua Desktop feature for the futurew, even downloadable iVirtua browser software! When we announce iVirtua 3.1, you'll be surprised how many ideas you are listing here were  being considered before you said them! We will take all of these in to consideration before announcing the feature list for 3.1

If you were to implement the "Game server" idea, perhaps you could make a feature on this site that shows top scores, top players etc. That way we could host competitions/clan battles etc. We could also rent servers out. A ladder system could be incorporated in a special forum to show current (perhaps real-time) top players or top players in the past.

Secondly, and i'm not sure how this would work, but a table could be made in another forum to show players' favourite games. This could be programmed to feed off the results from xFire (e.g. like my signature, which is embedded in BBCode - i think). This would allow gamers to see who the "most obsessed" players are. It would also allow many gamers to find out what games each gamer likes, and would allow players to meet other players.

Ive got another suggestion:

Make a banner to advertise iVirtua on other sites. This could be given to Advertisers to give to aggreable sites.

Oh yeah, and what is the "Create your Website" feature?

Here is a suggestion:

Make deals with online shops - allow them to advertise on iVirtua and, in return, make them give discounts to iVirtua members (like 5%, 10% or two-for-one deals). They benefit from more customers/customer awareness and we benefit from being able to boast another advantage/feature for iVirtua members (people are real suckers for discounts).
