Ok I played Doom 3 at FX55 stock of 2.6GHz and 6800 Ultra stock of 400/1100. I get around 220-245fps. After the overclock back to 3.47GHz and the OC on the 6800 Ultra's, I get around 270fps to 285fps. :)

Time to go play some HL2 and see how much I get in that.  :)

I'm getting around 250 FPS in Doom 3.  That is not bad considering ATI is not that strong in Doom 3.

Half-Life 2 is a different story, I'm hitting around 367 FPS+. That is with the Default resolution.

It looks to me that the ATI is very strong in HL-2 compared to the Doom 3.

Yes, I think ATI had something to do with the development in HL-2 as NVIDIA has with Doom 3.

Both games are amazing. Doom 3 is darker graphicly & you need a good Monitor.

Boooo  DOOM 3 Can't wait fot Movie of HL-2 & Doom 3. :)  :(

I think ATI and Nvidia are about the same. benchmarks are close to say and so are FPS in gaming.

Well, it's a FACT that Valve programed there HL-2 for better performance on a ATI Graphic's Card, just like ID did the same for NVidia in DOOM 3.

This is why you see ATI killing NVidia in HL-2 as NVidia is killing ATI in Doom 3.

In Half Life 2 YES, but in Doom 3 no.

ATI is great with HL-2 as Doom 3 is great with NVidia :)
