I think I have to agree with Intel Fan Boyz on this one.

Half-Life 2 is an ATI game. The X800 XL PE beat 2 6800 Ultra's on SLI by far in Half-Life 2.

12ms is amazing. You shouldn't have a problem.

CRT moniors w/ Ultra Bright technology are the best for Graphic's & Games.

Why? You could just invest in a better motherboard or even SLI and whip the X850XT PE.

The SLI solution is a little on the pricey side. Buying two good Graphic's Cards will put a dent in the pocket. :)

If you can afford an Athlon 64 + high performance RAM + high performance HDD's, then you can SURELY afford 2 cards in SLI configuration.

It's one or the other.
I'd say stick with a nForce 4 Ultra board & get yourself a good Graphic's Card.

What would you rather buy.
nForce 4 Ultra SLI w/ 2 6600GT's
OR
nForce 4 Ultra w/ X800 XT PE?

The ATI wins in almost every bnenchmark, but yet they almost cost the same.  :)

Both solutions are great. If you have the money, then by all means go for the SLI. :)

The SLI w/ 2 6800 Ultra's is amazing. You can play DOOM 3 with almost full quality & high FPS.  ;)

For single card solutions, definitely the 6800GT & the upcoming X800 XL for affordability. That is. :)

In order to get 100% quality out of DOOM 3, you must have a 512MB GDDR3 High Powered Graphic's Card. The developing engineer said this out of his own mouth. :)

Can you imagine 512MB & even 1GB GDDR3 Graphic's Cards?
ATI is releasing one probably in Q3 to Q4 & I think NVIDIA is right behind.

If I were ATI or NVIDIA, I would have released a 512MB GDDR3 Graphic?s Card for the mainstream market. That would put a nice led in the Graphic?s Card race. ;)
