I'm looking into getting the Creative GigaWorks S750 7.1 THX? certified speaker system set. It's probably the best out there with a nice $300+ price tag.
I'll be connecting my PC to my 25 inch Flat Screen TV, so I can enjoy watching movies & palying Games with massive sound. I know for a fact that the women of the house will be going nut's with all that sound.
Which Motherboard/Chipset does anybody recommend? I have my heart set on ATI's new improved S 939 chipset & the nForce 4 chipset. But I need to decide.
The problem is though, that the nForce 4 is out but in its early stages where as the ATI will be coming in around middle of February & looking quite promising.
It is MY opinion that you should steer AWAY from the Creative speakers...they just aren't the same quality ever since Creative bought out Cambridge. The fact is, to MY understanding, that this Creative THX set is really the ONLY 7.1 speaker set out there -> no competition.
If it were ME, I'd go with either the high-end Logitechs of Klipsch...MUCH better speakers from what I have read and heard. And I HAVE actually heard both of those spkr sets in use.

Well, I looked into Klipsch PROMEDIA 5.1 THX?-Certified. And it's a solid sytem.
I also looked into Logitech? Z-5500 Digital w/THX? Certified ? 5.1 Configuration ? Dolby? Digital & DTS? Hardware Decoding ? 500 Watts ? Digital SoundTouch? Control Center. which sounds alittle more appealing.
kinda pisses me off that i spend all this money this year building a new PC and then 6 months later PCI-E comes out and now im out dated again but o well such is life.
This is why anybody looking into building a PC anytime soon, so because if you don't build it right now, then you will never build it. You will be always waiting & waiting for new things to come out.
