Yeah, I have. It's possible to do that, but it makes overclocking basically worthless, imo

Yeah, increasing performance is real worthless.

If you have the RAM giving the info at 400MHz, it won't matter if the proc is running at 50GHz, it really won't improve performance a great deal.

Since the memory controller operates at the same speed as the CPU, memory efficiency increases as CPU MHz goes up. Also, the memory speed is always divided from the memory controller, so using a divider will not effect performance outside of the actual MHz difference.

So, now that I've got everything configured perfectly(atleast, somewhat perfectly), I need the cash to spend for it.

I have about $260 dollars in the bank for it right now, and I have a tutoring job that pays $5 per hour for one hour, 3 days of the week.  Gonna take some time for me to get $764 plus shipping.

Anyone know of any legal ways I can get some quick cash?

Porky, how old are you?

Well, fairly quick.  Go to GlobalTestMarket  Each survey is like 50-150 points, and when you get to 1000 points, you can request a check in the mail.  $50 per 1000 points.  btw, you usually get about 1 survey a day, and they're fairly quick surveys, not too long.

Ah...

You're going to have to try and work or get an allowance, my friend.

I would just ask your parents and other relatives for money for Christmas and/or your birthday. Also, maybe you can do work at your house? My parents used to pay me $30 just for mowing the lawn.

Also, after you have all the money you need I woul re-post the parts you chose. Newer parts some out all the time and pric change so there may be something better to get down the line.

I don't usually get as much money around the Christmas season/birthday season because my birthday is Dec. 17.  They combine two gifts into one.

I would do more work around the house, but now it is getting colder, and there is no more really paying work left.

I am going to see if I can start getting my mom to pay me for good grades again.  :)

I'm getting a car for my good grades.  :D  And my parents want me to have a safe car to drive...

Its a 2006 Toyota Corolla LE (it has all leather interior, automatic transmission, a mirror with a compass on it, and its white). I'll post more about it when it comes. (its on order right now...)  B)

And I get lucky if I get paid for mowing the lawn.

Same here. Good grades are expected of me, so I don't really get money, unless I score really high in a really hard class.
