I use Coolbit.  I like that it's not really a program, just reg keys added to put OCing functionalbility into the display control panel.

hold a few recoreds on overclocking 6800 gt

Use cool bits and the point here is to controle your temps . Lot of ways to do this with out water cooling .

NV5 is great  but limited on moding You can drop your temps 5C more by adding a 80 MM fan mounted over the intake pushing in.

Zalman makes a CPU cooler with copper cooling fins . You can drop your temps 20c by adding a 120 mm fan in front of it . Very cool

I use that set up ATM not any where near my water cooling but lot less head ache

water cooling 491 1.23 was my max this is with a gigabyte 6800 GT AGP

With zalman setup low hasle

435 - 1.23

this is with a EVGA 6800 GT  PCI-E

ya sorry didnt know the modle but ya that one rocks if you add a 120 mm 80 CFM fan on the side of it. I have this EVGA 6800 GT PCI-E  here in my little PC its clocked at 440 1.23 100% stable in everything with that cooler.
