50 Ways to confuse, worry, or scare(!) in a computer lab. in General Discussion, including Off Topic, Current Affairs
Great fun sam i liked the following

31. Laugh hysterically, shout "You will all perish in flames!!!" and continue working.

35. Borrow someone else's keyboard by reaching over, saying "Excuse me, mind if I borrow this for a sec?", unplugging the keyboard & taking it.

38. Play Pong for hours on the most powerful computer in the lab.

39. Make a loud noise of hitting the same key over and over again until you see that your neighbor is noticing (You can hit the space bar so your fill isn't affected). Then look at your neighbor's keyboard. Hit his/her delete key several times, erasing an entire word. While you do this, ask: "Does *your* delete key work?" Shake your head, and resume hitting the space bar on your keyboard. Keep doing this until you've deleted about a page of your neighbor's document. Then, suddenly excl.. "Well, whaddya know? I've been hitting the space bar this whole time. No wonder it wasn't deleting! Ha!" Print out your document and leave.

48. Run into the computer lab, shout "Armageddon is here!!!!!", then calmly sit down and begin to type.

50. Two words: Tesla Coil.

all fun.

Buy Crackdown , Get a Halo 3 beta in Gaming
Quote:
Taken from the report i read

Microsoft in early January announced that retail buyers of Crackdown, due out on 20 February for the Xbox 360 console, would also get a special key allowing them to be on the team that will test Halo 3 this spring.

Now to me that seems really worrying, who would wanna buy yet another GTA clone to get early access to one of the only decent games on the 360?

Quote:
The marketing scheme also sparked complaints from some gamers, who in online forums have charged that Microsoft is forcing people to buy a £40 game they may not have otherwise purchased to get prerelease access to one of the most hyped games of 2007.

Who here wants to buy a £40 pound poor game to get access to the halo 3 beta? Not only that Halo 2 on Pc is vista only, heres my tip DON'T FALL FOR IT.

Just a Sample of the power of Direct X 10 in Gaming
Hi There (why i always start a post like that we will never know)
Normally at college i check out a website and they had a entire news section on Direct X 10 and its power.

That picture was taken off the website the picture on the right is with Direct X 9 and the one on the right is with 10.

Pretty hot isn't it?
Although looking hard at it , i think that DX10 screenshot isn't rendered from a computer. I would like to see your views on this.
BTW the full review is here.
