Well, the X800 XL is supposed to go against the 6800GT. The difference is that both cards will be similar in performance, but the X800 XL wins in the Price/Performance category.

I don't think the OC'ed 6800GT w/ 130nm can take out an OC'ed X800 XL w/ 110nm

More than just skill, overclocking is also luck as well. You have to devote much time into it, but you might not receive the wanted results.

Having the right hardware plays a critical part as well:

30% skill
40% hardware
20% luck
10% dedication

The DNA drivers for ATI cards are better than ATI's original Cat's.

BOth cards seem to be great However while deciding a winner you have to take into account how they play in games.

In this case However the X850XT PE beats out the 6800Ultra as we've seen time and time again, it is the winner in the single card soultion once again.

When we look at overall performance leader it will sit with SLI or the 6600GT DUAL CORES.

However this will all change when the 520chip comes out from ATi this March or May it will be it will have 512 DDR4 as well as 24 pixle pipes and i dont think SLI will be able to compete with this one -_^

Another thing to note is that when cards get up to this quality its important to note that the performance on both sides is commendable and extremly fast on both sides so the differiential between the cards isnt much of a difference that we will see with our nekade i's so this being the case when compitiion is this close just go with your favorite company as for me im with

ATI -_^

New INFO  :)

ATI's R520 Core is said to be \"four times quicker than an X800Pro\"

ATI Radeon X950XT
Core Clock = 750MHz
Memory Clock = 900MHz (1,800MHz)
512MB GDDR4
256-Bit or 512-Bit Interface
24+ Pixel Pipelines
12+ Vertixe Engines
90nm Process
Over 350 FPS in FarCry, Half-Life 2, Doom 3, UT2004 etc. with Ultra High Settings.
Completely new Core Design.

There mainstream R520 will make the X850XT PE & the 6800 Ultra look like a GeForce 2  ;)
