Please help - Hardware tips in Hardware, Internet, Networking, Comms and Security
Ya, whenever workign inside a PC, have it plugged in, but turned off.  Then, before you hanlde any component, touch/hold some metal on the case.  Make sure you are in constant contact, and if you can't be, don't move around too much.

As far as what card, I'd pick up the X1600Pro

Best Vid card for your buck? in Entertainment, Film and Music, Mobile devices and media
I view it as a good value card, but it is a little picky about heat.  The card has already been pushed to its limits, so overclocking is probably going to be un-successful.  Running stock, however, I'd say it has awesome bang for the buck.

I'd grab either of these two:

SAPPHIRE 100131L BLUE Radeon X800GTO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X

Which Processor Do You Have? in Hardware, Internet, Networking, Comms and Security
Wasn't I who locked it.  I don't know why it was locked.  I think it's time for a new chart anyway.

Which Processor Do You Have? in Hardware, Internet, Networking, Comms and Security

I would add two Core 2 Duo entries there, Core 2 Duo (Merom) and Core 2 Duo (Conroe/Allendale). And also, just to nitpick, it's the Athlon 64 X2, not the Athlon X2.

Wouldn't that be just like adding San Diego/Venice/etc cores for AMD?
I know that it's slightly different, but it's basically the same dif, isn't it (and I'm asking... I know next to nothing about Core 2 Duo cpus).

Yes, thats why I didn't bother to add them.  Thanks for understanding.

The Chaser in General Discussion, including Off Topic, Current Affairs
Wow, I'm dumb.

While he explaining the love she would have for him, I'm like \"That can't be good,\" but I was expecting it to go on and tell what a terrible thing it would be.

A moment after I finished I figured it out... He'll come back for the 'life cleaner' later because she will be so obsessed and he won't be able to take it... ;)

Took me a bit.

Mac vs. PC in Hardware, Internet, Networking, Comms and Security
Nooooooooo... not another.

My opinion:
Windows
If you like getting things done for free/cheap and with a wide variety of options and in the same manner as everyone else.

Mac
If you think you need to be different.
If you need Final Cut Pro.
If you're a mac zealot.

New Monitor in Entertainment, Film and Music, Mobile devices and media
Tough choice.  Honestly, for desktop space, you don't gain a whole lot from the 1080p, however, you do get that nice boost in games and videos.

I don't know if I could justify the nearly 3x price.
